“Spirit’s House” (2020) is a setting of an excerpt by Sara Teasdale (1884-1933), for SATB a cappella. This piece was written for the Western Michigan University Choir directed by Dr. Kim Dunn Adams and premiered by them in Spring 2021. This piece was a creative response to the social distance and struggles that it created for musicians around the world, especially for choral singers. The piece can be performed in either in-person or online setting.
